"The true way to advance in holy virtues is to persevere in a holy cheerfulness." - Pope Saint John Paul II
This month's virtue is cheerfulness.
“Cheerfulness is the virtue that helps us to be joyful, even when times are hard. God loves us and wants us to be truly happy. We can think and act in a way that is gloomy, forgetting God, and dragging ourselves and others down, or we can count our blessings, praise God for his goodness, and lift everyone up toward Him. So make the choice to be joyful in the Lord and spread hope through joy!” - Virtues in Practice
Prayer: Act of Hope
What is Cheerfulness? Looking on the bright side
We are all working together to show children that God is first and foremost in our lives. The graces from this prayer are needed to open hearts, to guide leaders, and to beg the healing that only Our Lord can provide.
Act of Hope
O Lord God,
I hope by your grace for the pardon
of all my sins
and after life here to gain eternal happiness
because you have promised it
who are infinitely powerful, faithful, kind,
In this hope I intend to live and die.
